Video Contest Due Date

Friday February 11, 2011 - Enter your Partnerships for Success Club
in the “Credo for Friendship” video contest for the opportunity to win $200.00 for your Club

Guidelines:

Entry in the Contest is available only to Partnerships for Success Clubs in Georgia. Entrants must submit an original video based on the Youth Credo produced by the I’m Determined Youth Summit participants in 2009 (www.imdetermined.org). The video should convey effective ways that the students in your club have changed the social climate for students with disabilities. The video should show how students in your club have developed friendships based on respect for all students and how that camaraderie was built through fun social and community service activities and events. Be sure the video is coherent, understandable, contains “People First Language” and does not exceed five minutes. The video may not contain any work (in whole or in part) which is the subject of a copyright or infringes the intellectual property rights of any third party. Video must be an original work.

To enter, submit the video on a DVD to to Colleen Lambert, Program Coordinator, Partnerships for Success, 3552 Friendship Farm Dr., Buford, GA 30519. Entry must be received no later than Friday, February 11, 2011. Limit of one entry per club.
The videos will be ”premiered” at Disability Day at the Capitol on Thursday, February , 24, 2011 and will then be posted on the Georgia Council on Developmental Disabilities (GCDD) website (www.gcdd.org). Videos will be available for voting by the public to determine the winner. Voting will be open to the public beginning 02/24/11 and ending at 11:59 PM Eastern Time on 03/31/11. The winner will be announced on Monday, April 4, 2011. The winning entry will receive $200.00 for their club and will be highlighted in the GCDD Making a Difference Magazine and the Partnerships for Success newsletter. The runner up will receive $100.00 for their club and will be highlighted in the Partnerships for Success newsletter. In the event of a tie, the tied videos will be re-judged by qualified individuals on the basis of creativity (50%) and expression of the ideas discussed in the video (50%). Names of entrants will not be disclosed to judges.
